Art and culture are for everyone, but if you have an impairment or a specific access requirement, often a visit to the theatre or to an arts centre can be more complicated. At The Riverfront we aspire to offer our customers the very best practice in fair ticketing policy and accessibility.

Accessible Performances

The Riverfront Theatre offer a variety of BSL-interpreted, audio-described and relaxed performances throughout the year.

Hynt Access Scheme

Hynt is a national access scheme partnering with theatres and arts centres across Wales.

As part of the Hynt network, we provide cardholders with a free ticket for their companion, carer, or personal assistant.

If you have a Hynt card please call our team on 01633 656757 and they will be able to book you a HYNT ticket.

Wheelchair Spaces

All performance spaces are wheelchair accessible.

The Riverfront Theatre has nine wheelchair spaces in the main theatre - these can be found in the stalls in row K, N and on the balcony in row NN.

We have eleven wheelchair spaces in the studio theatre in the front and the back.

When booking a wheelchair space please make our Box Office aware of any particular requirements.

Access, Toilets and Lifts

There is ramp access to both the front and rear doors at The Riverfront. Lift access, wheelchair access and toilet facilities are available on all levels except for the Basement space.

Blue Badge Parking

You can drop off and pick up immediately outside the entrance by coming up to the barriers at the castle end of the building, press the buzzer and you will be let in.

There are accessible parking spaces for blue badge holders at all times. Unfortunately, these spaces cannot be reserved, and are on a first come, first served basis.

Assistance Dogs

Assistance dogs are welcomed and can be cared for during performances by arrangement.

Medical Assistance

Many of our staff are first-aid trained. If you need assistance, please inform any staff member, and they will contact the appropriate person for help.
