Our 3 Day First Aid at Work course is ideally suited for employees who are given the role of First Aider at work, it gives you a comprehensive knowledge of first aid and the confidence to use it.
A range of subjects are covered including:

Be able to assess an incident

Administer first aid to a casualty who is unconscious (including seizure)

Be able to recognise a casualty with anaphylaxis

Be able to safely use an auto-injector for the treatment of a casualty with anaphylaxis

Administer first aid to a casualty with: injuries to bones, muscles and joints, including suspected spinal injuries
-
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
-
Serious bleeding management
-
Spinal injury management
-
Conscious and unconscious choking management.
The course uses a combination of knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice to make sure participants are confident in their ability to provide care when emergency situations arise.
This course includes a practical assessment and multiple-choice examination.
Learners should wear appropriate and comfortable clothing such as trousers and flat shoes, there is a requirement to participate in practical learning and skills application activities.
This qualification is valid for a period of 3 years. The candidates should re-take this qualification prior to the certificate expiry date to remain qualified. Although not compulsory, it is recommended that learners refresh their knowledge annually.

Candidate requirements:

Must be 16 years of age at the date of assessment.

Must complete full course and all learning hours.
