While we're eager to reopen, there's one more important update to share. Newport Live is in the process of finalising backdrop and curtain works to enhance your indoor tennis experience. As a result, there will be a brief temporary closure of the indoor tennis courts. We will provide you with the exact closure dates as soon as they are confirmed.
Rest assured, these improvements are being made with your comfort and enjoyment in mind. Your safety and satisfaction remain our top priorities, and we believe these enhancements will contribute to a more enjoyable and safe tennis experience at Newport Live.
Housekeeping Rules for a Safe and Enjoyable Experience
As we reopen our indoor tennis courts, we want to remind all members of some essential housekeeping rules to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone:
1. Beverage Consumption:
Only water is allowed to be consumed while using the courts, and it must be kept on the designated matted area. All other beverages including hot drinks, without exception, should be enjoyed on the tennis balcony.
2. Footwear Requirements:
Non-marking soles are mandatory for all tennis activities. Please note that school shoes are not permitted for use during our youth lessons. Incorrect footwear may result in being unable to participate in activities.
3. Court Booking Duration:
Tennis court bookings are allotted for a duration of 50 minutes, while youth tennis lessons are currently scheduled for 55 minutes.
4. No-Show Policy:
Newport Live has implemented a strict no-show policy. We kindly request all tennis bookings to record their attendance without exception. This can be done by visiting the reception desk upon arrival or tapping your Newport Live membership card at the access control turnstile. Persistent failure to record your attendance may lead to the suspension of your convenient online booking option.
5. Booking Changes and Cancellation:
Members, If you no longer wish to proceed with your tennis booking, you have the option to cancel it up to 30 minutes before the start of your booking through our App or by calling us.
For Pay & Play bookings, a refund or transfer will only apply to cancellations made outside of 24 hours. Within 24 hours of your booking, no refund or transfer option is available.
We value your cooperation in adhering to these rules as they contribute to a positive and safe environment for all tennis enthusiasts at Newport Live. Our indoor tennis courts are highly sought after, and we want to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy them to the fullest.
