We deliver the Swim Wales Learn to swim programme which teaches children the skills and techniques to stay safe around water and enjoy the health benefits of aqua based activities.

Bubbles 1 & 2
Bubbles provide a fully supported introduction to the aquatic environment for babies and young children with an accompanying adult, specifically aimed at children aged 0-18 months.
Bubbles 3 & 4
Bubbles provide a fully supported introduction to the aquatic environment for babies and young children with an accompanying adult, specifically aimed at children aged 18-36 months.
Splash 1 & 2
Splash encourages a young child’s increasingly independent and guided discovery of the aquatic environment to develop water confidence, specifically aimed at children aged 3-4 years.
Academies
Newport Live Academies offer children the opportunity to progressively develop their swim technique and skills in a fun and enjoyable environment.
Academies 1 & 2
Academy 1 & 2 This is the beginner lesson for ages 7-12 years only. Following Swim Wales Learn to Swim programme, our Academies focus on the development of all four swimming stroke techniques and skills required to progress into an array of aqua-based activities.

Following Swim Wales Learn to Swim programme, our Academies focus on the development of all four swimming stroke techniques and skills required to progress into an array of aqua based activities.

Focuses on advanced and varied swim technique and skills.
Academies 7 and 8 are part of the City of Newport Swimming and Polo Club, providing the opportunity for swimmers to train at a competitive level or learn specialised aquatic skills.

FIND OUT MOREJunior Swim Lessons
We offer swim lessons for slightly older children who are looking start their Learn to Swim journey. Lessons will focus on skills and development as well as water safety enabling children to partake in aqua based activities.

Manage your child’s lessons online with Home Portal. Simply login and track you child’s progress against the set criteria for their current stage of swimming lessons. You can also move your child to a different a class once they have passed their designated stage.
To register for Home Portal, you will need:
- Your child's card ID, which can be found on your child's swim card. Alternatively, contact us on 01633 656757 or email customerservice@newportlive.co.uk
- Your child's date of birth
- Either an email address or postcode matching the one recorded in our database
- Go to newportlive.courseprogress.co.uk
- You will then have the option to register all children using the same email address
- An activation email will be sent, upon receiving this email activate your account following the on-screen instructions
Swimming Lesson Monthly Membership
The swimming lesson monthly membership is available at a cost of £22.70 per month. To sign up for the Direct Debit membership call 01633 656757 or speak to reception.
